Terms of use

Last updated

This calculator gives you a real, costed specification in a few minutes without asking for your email address. What it gives you is an indication, and these terms explain exactly what that word is doing.

In short. The number the calculator produces is an informed estimate, not a quotation and not an offer. Nothing here forms a contract. We would confirm a real price after a conversation, in writing. Use the tool as much as you like; please do not scrape it or pass our figures off as somebody else’s work.

Who these terms are between

This site is operated by Bond Media, a creative agency with offices in London and Dubai. By using the calculator you are agreeing to what follows. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the calculator.

What the figures are

The calculator prices a website from the answers you give it, using our own rates, our own data and our own delivery experience. It is built to be honest rather than flattering, and in our experience it lands close. But:

  • It is an estimate, not a quotation. It does not bind us and it does not bind you.
  • It is not an offer capable of acceptance. No contract comes into being because you used it, downloaded the proposal, or sent it to somebody.
  • It is based entirely on what you entered. It has not seen your content, your brand, your integrations or your deadline, and any of those can move the number.
  • Figures exclude VAT and any third-party licence fees, unless the proposal says otherwise.
  • Each proposal carries a validity period, shown on the document itself. After that, ask us again.

A binding price only ever comes from us in writing, after a conversation, as part of a signed engagement.

The images and previews

The preview beside the questions, and the imagery in the downloaded proposal, are there to show what a level of immersion feels like. They are illustrative. They are not a design concept for your site, not a mockup of your site, and not a promise of what your site will look like. Design happens after a brief, not before one.

Using the calculator

You are welcome to use it as often as you like, for as many scenarios as you like. Please do not:

  • Scrape it, automate it, or take the pricing model out of it for use elsewhere
  • Present its output as your own work, or as anyone’s work other than ours
  • Try to break it, overload it, or get at anything on the server that is not the calculator
  • Enter anybody else’s personal information into it

What belongs to whom

The calculator, its pricing model, its interface, its copy and its imagery are ours and remain ours. The proposal it generates is yours to keep, read, print and share with whoever you need to show it to inside your organisation. That is what it is for.

What you type remains yours. By entering it you give us permission to use it to produce your proposal, and to improve the tool, as described in our privacy notice.

Links and embedded services

The booking calendar is provided by Calendly and runs under its own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not operate, and a link is not an endorsement.

Availability

We do not promise the calculator will always be available, or always be correct. We change its pricing as our costs change, and a figure you saw last month may not be the figure you see today. If it is down, it is down; try again.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that: the calculator is provided as it is, and we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision you take on the basis of an indicative figure. It is a starting point for a conversation. Treat it as one.

If you are using the calculator for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one published here when you use the calculator, and the date it was last changed is at the top of this page.
